Started in 2002 on a wooded property down a quiet road in Lakewood, N.Y., founders Phineas DeMink and Allen (“Skip”) Yahn founded the brewery with the vision of bringing small-batch brewing back to a region rich in brewing tradition. Since its humble beginnings, Southern Tier has grown into an industry leader and one of the top craft beer producers in the United States.
